We are looking for an engaged employee for the adapted primary school!

Christinaskolan Adapted Primary School is a school where we, with warmth, competence, and structure, work to ensure every student has the opportunity to develop based on their prerequisites. Here, relationships, security, and clarity are at the center. Our students have intellectual disabilities and, in some cases, additional functional variations. We have students from preschool class to grade 9 studying subjects and subject areas, offering education in a small and secure environment.

We are looking for a special needs teacher specializing in intellectual disabilities for teaching students studying subject areas, or alternatively, a preschool teacher specializing in intellectual disabilities for teaching in preschool class.

Responsibilities

As a special needs teacher, you work in a team together with resource teachers, student assistants, and other teachers. You adapt the teaching using clarifying pedagogy and strive to create a safe environment that attracts and challenges students to activity, learning, and responsibility.

You are also a mentor for a small student group, responsible for documentation and contact with guardians.

Qualifications

• You are a qualified teacher with a teaching license and eligibility as a special needs teacher/special educator specializing in intellectual disabilities.
• We are also interested in you if you have a basic education as a preschool teacher or leisure-time pedagog with the same specialization, or other education that the employer deems relevant. In such cases, a time-limited school law employment may be offered.
• We want you to have knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), clarifying pedagogy, and low-affective handling.
• Experience working in an adapted primary school or with students in need of special support is considered a merit.
• As a person, you must be secure, structured, and have good collaboration skills.
• For this role, you need to be solution-focused and have a positive attitude in your work.

Permanent position, full-time. Holiday employment.

Start date: Autumn term 2026 or as agreed.
