About the Workplace

Östra School in Jokkmokk is a grades 4-9 school with just over 200 students. The school is one of the municipality's three primary schools and is located next to the sports and swimming hall.

Having the students in focus, supporting them together with guardians in difficult situations, not only conveying democratic values and everyone's right to be who they are, but also embodying what we say with our actions, is our common platform.

Responsibilities

You will teach the subject of crafts with a focus on Sami craft, leather, and textiles. Your task is to inspire and create a desire for learning, and to help students carry a sense of security and pride in their Sami cultural heritage.

Qualifications

• Teacher education in the subject of crafts.
• Experience in Sami craft (leather/textiles).
• Applicants without formal qualifications may also be considered.

Terms of Employment

Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent.
Start date: According to agreement, earliest 2026-08-13.

Salary: The salary range for this position is between 34,000 - 43,000 SEK/month full-time (based on 2027 salary levels). We apply individual salary setting based on your experience and competence.
