In the city center lies Luleå Gymnasieby, a campus area that houses most of the municipal upper secondary schools with nearly 2,300 students. The students at Luleå Gymnasieby are to be given the prerequisites for lifelong learning by focusing on knowledge, participation, responsibility, and leadership so that they are prepared for working life and as citizens.

The upper secondary school also offers specialized programs in mathematics & physics, nationally approved sports programs, a national basketball gymnasium, and International Baccalaureate.

DUTIES

We are looking for an English teacher for work in the upper secondary school.

You will be part of a subject group with subject colleagues within the gymnasium campus and collaborate with other teachers and student health services across the different programs.

We are looking for teachers who wish to collaborate, both within the subject and within the program. We see active mentorship and secure leadership in the classroom as necessities for good goal achievement.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who:

• have a teaching degree and teacher certification with a focus on English for upper secondary school
• have relevant experience
• can express yourself well in speech and writing

It is meritorious if you have:

• qualifications in other subjects for upper secondary school

If you do not have a teaching degree or teacher certification in the aforementioned subject, you can still apply for this position.

This job suits you who have good cooperation skills and can handle many issues simultaneously. You have the ability to structure and organize, as well as experience working with students.

We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

Start date and duration of the position: 2026-08-12 to 2026-12-22, with the possibility of extension.

If you become relevant for the position, you will need to present a clean extract from the criminal record.
