At Ektorp School – a modern, bright, and newly built F–9 school (grades 0–9) – we are now looking for an experienced and driven childcare assistant who wants to take a place, influence, and contribute to a operation where collaboration and pedagogical development are at the center.

At our school, the after-school program (fritids) and the school work closely together, and you will become an important part of a professional team passionate about creating a safe, inspiring, and learning environment for our students. Your Role

As a childcare assistant here, you will become a central part of an engaged F–3 team where teachers, childcare assistants, resource pedagogues, and after-school pedagogues work closely together. Teachers and the after-school team collaborate and cooperate during the school day. You plan and structure the school day together to ensure students receive the best possible education and development.

During the school day, you are a present, active, and supportive educator in both the classroom and during recess. If you have experience with recess games, leading recess activities, or developing recess programs, we see this as a major strength. You enjoy creating movement, community, and structure during recess – and you have ideas you want to realize.

After school hours, you are involved in and responsible for activities in the after-school program. In close collaboration with the after-school team, you plan, implement, and evaluate activities based on established guidelines. You work from the understanding that the after-school program is part of the school's teaching, where activities are planned with a clear pedagogical purpose and linked to the school's themes and focus areas. Together, you create a safe, inspiring, and stimulating environment both indoors and outdoors, where the students' social and pedagogical development is the focus.

Your Experience

For this position, you are required to have:

• Secondary or post-secondary education as a childcare assistant
• Experience working as a childcare assistant in an after-school program
• Experience working in a school with students in grades F-3 (preschool class to grade 3)
• Good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing

It is meritorious if you also have:

• After-school leader education, nature/outdoor education, or similar
• Experience with ADHD/Autism spectrum disorders (NPF) and working with students in need of extra adjustments and special support
• Experience leading colleagues and the pedagogical work within the after-school program

You are proactive, support your colleagues, and take responsibility for planning and implementing activities without waiting for instructions. As a person, you are humble, calm, and confident in yourself, even in stressful, pressured, or new situations, which creates security for both children and colleagues.
