About the role

In the role of Data Architect, you will contribute both operationally and strategically to the agency's digital transformation within data warehousing and associated integration architecture. You will also be involved in designing the solutions that Skolverket offers to the school system, with a clear focus on data and integration.

You will also contribute to creating relevant architecture descriptions and actively support Skolverket's digital development work. Together with colleagues in the data function, you will ensure quality, consistency, and integrity in the agency's central data objects, thereby contributing to a more digitalized and automated school world.

You will be part of Skolverket's cross-functional architecture function, where you help set the framework for the agency's digital solutions by developing reference architectures, working methods, and common artifacts.

You belong to the Unit for Business Development and Architecture within the IT Department. The role involves close collaboration with colleagues within the unit and department, as well as with other parts of Skolverket and external contacts.

You will work at our modern and spacious office in Solna Business Park. There is also an opportunity to work up to 50% remotely.

Requirements

• Post-secondary education in IT or other education combined with experience that Skolverket assesses as relevant.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Data Architect with a focus on data warehousing and integration.
• Very good knowledge of data modeling, with a focus on both data warehousing and general system design.
• Very good knowledge of various architecture patterns within Data Warehouse and reporting.
• Good experience in developing and orchestrating data pipelines in Python.
• Practical experience in analyzing business needs for data to develop reports.
• Very good proficiency in Swedish (spoken and written) and good proficiency in English.

Merits

It is an advantage if you have experience with container-based solutions (e.g., Docker or Kubernetes), experience in creating target-group-adapted visualizations in Power BI or similar tools, and experience working in the public sector or with large, complex information environments.
