A leading SaaS company continues to grow and is now establishing an entirely new development team in Växjö.

We are looking for several senior developers who want to be involved from the start and help shape the team, the solution, and the technical decisions ahead. The team is being established to take the next step in developing an existing business-critical area within the organization. During the first few months, the focus will be on evaluating, defining, and establishing the technical direction forward.

This is about creating the prerequisites for the next generation of solutions, where the team will jointly analyze existing systems, identify technical choices, and lay the foundation for continued development. Here we need developers who understand the consequences of technical decisions, can discuss risks and opportunities, and actively contribute to shaping the solution moving forward.

The team will consist of approximately 3–4 developers and will be built up gradually through a combination of consultants and contract-to-hire solutions. The ambition is to create a group where different competencies complement each other rather than everyone having exactly the same profile.

The focus is clearly on backend development.

You will primarily work with:

• Backend: Java, Spring Boot
• Frontend: React
• Integration & Data: REST APIs, PostgreSQL, and Kafka
• Testing Framework: JBehave
• Other: Microservices and GitHub

Frontend appears in the role via React, but the focus is not on design, UX, or user experience. Frontend work is primarily about building functional interfaces that support business logic.

We are looking for you who are a senior developer and who combine technical depth with a pragmatic approach.

You do not need to be a formal architect, but you need to be able to participate actively in architecture discussions, understand the consequences of technical decisions, and contribute to the team making well-founded choices.

• Have several years of experience in backend development in Java.
• Have experience with Spring Boot.
• Have experience building and integrating REST APIs.
• Have worked with databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Have experience with modern development teams and agile working methods.
• Can work independently and drive technical initiatives forward.
• Enjoy collaborating closely with other developers to solve complex problems.
• Are unpretentious and happy to share your experiences.
• Dare to express your opinions while being receptive to others' perspectives.
• Understand the importance of trust and collaboration in a team under construction.
