Responsibilities

We are currently looking for a Social Worker (Socialsekreterare) for Adult Unit 1 in Hjällbo for a 6-month fixed-term position.

Our responsibilities involve administrative authority (myndighetsutövning). We are an investigation group working with individuals over the age of 26 who have harmful substance use and/or addiction. We work based on the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act on Care of Abusers (LVM). Our target group is heterogeneous, but many of those we work with have co-occurring disorders (dual diagnosis) and lack their own housing. We investigate needs for support, grant support, and follow up on interventions. We follow the client until they achieve independence and no longer require support.

The role involves administrative authority with requirements for legal security, a common approach, and equal assessments. Using your knowledge and good customer service skills, you ensure that the individuals we meet receive the help and support they need to live as independent a life as possible based on their own conditions. The position is focused on co-occurring disorders and primarily consists of clients whose needs relate to both the Social Services Administration and the Functional Support Administration. For several years, the unit has chosen to organize work based on co-occurring disorders, with three social workers having extra focus and space for collaboration with the Functional Support Administration and other partners to achieve good results for the target group.

You will be part of one of three work groups with social workers, where each group has a Senior Social Worker. The groups possess extensive experience in working with the target group and administrative authority. Our working method is characterized by collegial support and method development, while we value our experience. We use standardized investigation methodology, such as ASI (Addiction Severity Index). Our approach in contact with clients is characterized by Motivational Interviewing (MI). All social workers are trained in ASI and MI. We work in a learning organization, which means we have regular method development based on cases and themes relevant to our profession. There are great opportunities for further education through the city's various training initiatives. As a social worker, you participate in external process supervision with your group.

We strive to adapt our investigation work based on the individual client's conditions and needs, and actively involve the individual in their change process. Our client work involves collaboration with other units within SF Nordost, the Functional Support Administration, the municipality's and Västra Götaland's addiction care services, Probation Services, and others.

We have a reception unit that receives and distributes cases to the investigation units. We also have a unit with various provider resources. Our common starting point is the Social Services Act and politically established goals.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a degree in Social Work (Social Work) or another university degree that the employer deems equivalent. It is of great importance that you are well-versed in the legislation and other regulations governing the operations. You understand the importance of legally secure case handling and understand what this means in practice. Experience with administrative authority involving investigations, assessments, and implementation of decisions is advantageous. Interest and experience in working with people with addiction issues is also advantageous.

You have the ability to work together with others to perform tasks and achieve goals. By being interested and creating understanding for others, you contribute to a respectful work climate. You are structured and act independently based on what the situation requires, and you have the ability to make independent decisions within the framework of your assignment. You use time effectively and work systematically, organized, and methodically.
