The Baltic Sea is a fantastic body of water in many ways, but also challenging from a military perspective. The average depth is only about 55 meters, and its geography and hydrography make it difficult to detect and combat threats. But the Baltic Sea is our arena!

The Business Unit Underwater Systems provides both military and civilian products that provide capabilities above and below the water surface. Versatility, flexibility, and high availability are characteristics that define our products.

What You Will Do

• Have a significant impact on the entire development cycle, from idea to delivery? Not just in the product, but also in how we work with methods and tools.

• Share your knowledge and streamline our software development?

• Test your software in our products, in their real environment, and in collaboration with our customers?

• Work with a wide variety of products, everything from vehicles, measurement systems, data analysis, and operator stations to planning tools.

Your Profile

• The ability to maintain a helicopter view with interest in everything from coding to architecture, requirements management, and design.

• Interest in surrounding technologies and methodologies (containers, cloud, CI/CD).

• A "can-do" attitude and enjoy collaborating or even leading and coaching?

• Experience with e.g., C, C++, Python, Ada, or Qt.

• You are a Civil Engineer/University Engineer or have equivalent knowledge, with several years of experience in system development with a focus on software.

You need to be able to read and write fluently in Swedish and English as this is a common requirement from our customers. The location is Linköping.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the current security clearance regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
