Job Responsibilities

The work as a public authority case manager within the group involves handling and investigating cases within financial assistance, domestic violence, harmful use and addiction, social psychiatry, and LSS. Within adult case management, the daily work is led by a coordinator and consists of two work groups. Financial assistance consists of four, and the adult group consists of three case managers. The public authority unit of the Social Services Administration consists of all public authority execution jointly with good conditions for close collaboration. The position will be a combined position within these areas to strengthen the groups.

In the adult group, one of the case managers will project-manage the work within domestic violence at 50%, and within financial assistance, work is underway to prepare for the legislative change regarding the activity requirement that comes into force on 2026-07-01.

We work together and actively to find sustainable solutions for those we meet. Internal and external collaboration is important to us as we know it leads to better solutions for our users. We know that a prerequisite for maintaining high quality in the operations we conduct is that employees receive the right support and sufficient time for each case.

We offer case guidance together with the coordinator every week and as needed. Within the unit, there are system administrators who provide support in our business system, Lifecare. We also have external supervision. We are now making a major investment in working with AI as a documentation support linked to our business system, which we implemented during the spring.

During the previous year, stronger collaboration with the municipality's labor market unit has been implemented, where the focus is on jointly moving individuals to self-support. With the new law regarding the activity requirement that comes into force on 2026-07-01, we are preparing for this work through close collaboration with the Labor Market Unit (AME) to be able to comply with the legal requirements.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a degree from the social work program or other higher education that the employer deems equivalent. Experience of working within social services and financial assistance is considered meritorious.

You are communicative, clear, sensitive to your counterpart, and have the ability to formulate information or messages so that everyone understands. Are you empathetic and secure, and choose to contribute to a good work climate? We are looking for you who consider yourself responsible and work in a structured and systematic manner.

A valid driver's license (Category B) is a requirement.
