We are now looking for a parish priest for Ryd Parish in Linköping Cathedral Pastorate, where people from different cultures live and work. Sunday High Mass is the hub of the week and is characterized by diversity and high participation. We want to be a learning and open meeting place where those who come can be themselves, but also help carry the parish forward in prayer and praise. Ryd Parish works together with several local networks under the pastorate's vision "so that the world may live" and is a member of the national network "The Future Lives With Us".

About the position

In the role of parish priest in Ryd Parish, you will have the opportunity to undertake priestly duties as well as lead an engaged team consisting of seven employees. You will become part of a large, worshiping parish.

As parish priest, you are responsible for leading and distributing the work in close cooperation with the Dean and other parish priests. You will also be part of pastorate-wide operations where we utilize the common resources available in the pastorate's nine parishes.

The assignment involves continuing our work to build a parish with Christ at the center. In Ryd, this means, among other things, developing the work with volunteer staff and the many students living in the area.

As parish priest, you report to the Dean, have budget and operational responsibility, and are part of the pastorate's pastoral and management collegium.

About you

We are looking for you who are a priest in the Church of Sweden and who now want to step into the role of parish priest in Ryd Parish – whether you are new to the management role or have previous experience. You have an interest in leadership, want to develop, and have the ability to engage, motivate, and build trust.

If you are new to this role, there will be substantial internal support available. We will support you in your leadership and give you the opportunity to further develop. The work is often done in collaboration with other managers, meaning you will not stand alone in your assignment.

We place great emphasis on your personal qualities and are looking for someone who is driven and development-oriented. We would like you to have good decision-making skills, be communicative, and have the ability to create good collaboration.
