F 16 is responsible for the Uppsala Garrison and the operation of Uppsala Airport. The wing is also responsible for the 24/7, year-round surveillance of Swedish airspace and leads the Air Force's combat aircraft in the air. You will become part of a military organization undergoing significant change and development due to the global situation and Sweden's NATO membership. F 16 is growing, and we are now looking for new colleagues who want to join our development journey!

About the unit

The 163rd Garrison Battalion consists of the Logistics Company, the Garrison Company, and soon also the Training Company. Together, they create the conditions for assigned units to focus on solving their main tasks. Logistics within NATO and the Swedish Armed Forces are divided into four main areas: supply, transport, medical care, and technical services.

The Garrison Company is responsible for garrison coordination at Uppsala Garrison. The company hosts the garrison's dispatch and archives, sports services, dog services, operational services including training, case handlers with various areas of expertise, administrators, and caretakers.

Main responsibilities

The service platoon of the Garrison Company is now recruiting logistics soldiers. Tasks may vary depending on operational needs and your experience and competence. Below are examples of standing and recurring tasks. Please motivate your strengths and interests related to the position in your application. As part of the role, you will have the opportunity to undergo various training courses depending on operational needs, your suitability, and current competence.

  • Be part of the command support group, involving diverse work focusing on solutions within logistics, supply, transport services, etc.
  • Be part of the battalion's ceremonial unit, security guard duties, honor guard, and transport unit, depending on training and competencies.
  • Be part of the battalion's mobilization work.
  • Be part of the war establishment and serve in the position.
  • Administrative tasks.
  • Drive various types of vehicles to carry out tasks.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Completed Swedish conscription with a passing grade.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English.
  • Driver's license category B (manual).

Personal qualities

We are looking for you who have a positive basic attitude. You enjoy developing and learning new things and have the ability to work both independently and in a group. You are organized, responsible, and comfortable working in an environment where conditions can change quickly. You are willing to try new things, ask follow-up questions, but can also report limitations when necessary. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current experience in logistics or warehouse work.
  • Previous experience working in the Swedish Armed Forces.
  • Current experience in administrative work.
  • Current experience in service work.
  • Previous experience working with audio/video/scenic technology.
  • Military service certificates.

Employment type: The position is a fixed-term employment as GSS/K (group leaders, soldiers, and sailors with continuous duty) for 8 years, with the possibility of extension up to 12 years according to the Act (2012:332) on certain Armed Forces appointments. A probationary period of 6 months may apply.

Full-time/part-time: Full-time

Place of work: Uppsala. F 16 also has operations in other locations, which may involve occasional business trips.

Working hours: Mainly daytime. Evening and weekend duty may occur during operations, activities, or arising needs.

Start date: As soon as possible, according to agreement.

Salary: We apply individual salary setting.
