Sensus Study Association creates and participates in places where education and culture are developed. We do this together with member organizations, partners, and participants. Our areas of focus are education, culture, rights-based work, sustainability, life issues, and relationships. Sensus Identity is our guiding document. You can find it here (https://www.sensus.se/om-sensus/identitet/). Sensus has offices and operations in large parts of the country, and the place of work can be flexible in some cases.

Here, you will work in a developing environment where everyday learning is given ample space. We help each other, learn from one another, and we have a big heart for adult education (folkbildning).

What will you do as a Business Developer here?

You will work on developing and supporting adult education activities together with non-profit organizations, associations, and groups in civil society. This can involve both larger organizations and smaller contexts, such as book clubs, discussion groups, or other local initiatives.

In this role, you will support our partners in planning, developing, and implementing activities. You build relationships, identify needs and ideas, and contribute to activities growing and functioning in practice. You also conduct training and lead processes in various contexts.

The work is varied and moves between meetings with associations and leaders, planning and follow-up, digital collaboration, and administration. The position is a fixed-term appointment, and you will have an important role in maintaining existing relationships. Since adult education receives public grants, the role also includes documentation and follow-up of activities according to current conditions and regulations.

Your main tasks will include:

  • developing adult education activities together with associations, organizations, and groups in civil society
  • conducting training, leading group processes, and supporting leaders and partners
  • documenting, following up, and administering activities according to adult education regulations

What do you need to be able to do?

We are looking for you who have experience working with people, learning, and development in non-profit contexts. You feel at home in civil society and understand how associations and idea-driven organizations function.

It is important that you:

  • have experience of work and/or personal engagement in association life
  • have experience of conducting training and leading processes
  • have experience of pedagogical work in some form
  • use digital tools and are curious to continue developing your digital competence
  • have knowledge of adult education and popular movements
  • have a valid driver's license (Category B)

Furthermore, we believe that you

thrive in a role where you meet many different people and contexts. You need to be able to switch between supporting small groups and collaborating with larger organizations, and you see the value in building long-term relationships.

We therefore believe that you are:

  • service-oriented – you are attentive, accommodating, and keen to find solutions that work for those you collaborate with
  • relationship-building – you enjoy making contact, building trust, and developing collaborations over time
  • self-initiative – you take responsibility for your tasks, structure your work, and drive processes forward
  • flexible – you adapt easily when needs change and see opportunities in new situations

About the position

The position is a fixed-term appointment at 75 percent with a start date in mid-August. The employment currently extends until November 30, 2026.

Collective agreements exist between Fremia, Akademikerförbunden, and Unionen. We apply goal-oriented working hours. The primary place of work is Skellefteå, but for the right candidate, Umeå or Piteå may also be relevant. Travel, including overnight stays, is included in the position.

As an employee at Sensus, you have the opportunity to work from home to some extent. You also have other benefits such as wellness allowance and wellness hours.
