IES Uppsala is a school serving grades 4–9 with 750 students and 75 employees. We are a bilingual school following the Swedish national curriculum.

We are looking for a qualified French teacher for grade 6, starting in August 2026. This is a part-time position (10%) for one grade 6 class. The role involves teaching French to students of various ages and backgrounds, where you will contribute to creating a dynamic and inclusive learning environment. You are passionate about your subject and driven to challenge all students, regardless of background, to achieve their full potential. You are interested in developing teaching methods in line with research and proven experience.

Your Responsibilities

• Teach French.
• Provide continuous feedback to students and guardians regarding student development.
• Actively contribute to maintaining the school's core values and vision.
• Collaborate with other language teachers and actively contribute to the team's development.
• Collaborate with the student health team and special needs educators to include students with specific needs.

We are looking for someone who

• Has a Swedish teaching license in French.
• Has experience teaching French.
• Teaches in the target language but has good knowledge of Swedish.
• Has a passion for teaching and motivates students to reach their goals.
• Has the ability to create an inclusive learning environment for students.
• Has a positive attitude and a flexible and creative work approach.
• Is a team player who thrives in a collaborative school environment.
