The Rodret Group has a shared accounting unit organized within Övik Energi, responsible for accounting and tax for the group's companies operating in several different industries. We are now looking for you who want to lead, develop, and future-proof our accounting function. The accounting team currently consists of eight employees and plays a key role in creating structure, quality, efficiency, and supporting the group company's accounting and tax matters.

Your Role

As Head of Accounting, you have overall responsibility for the accounting function and work both strategically and operationally. In this role, you are responsible for leading the team, ensuring high quality and efficiency in accounting, as well as driving development and improvement. The work is partly coordinated based on economic schedules and system support in the municipal group.

The position includes:

• Planning, coordinating, and partially executing accounting, closing, group accounting, and tax matters for the group's companies
• Being a qualified support and advisor in accounting and tax matters to other group companies
• Developing, driving change, streamlining, and following up on processes, working methods, and routines
• Adapting system support and driving digitalization, automation, and the use of AI support in accounting work
• Ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and internal guidelines
• Participating in the procurement of audit and banking services
• Having full personnel responsibility, including staffing, development and salary discussions, as well as competence development

You report to the Head of Strategic Business and Company Development, collaborate closely with Rodret's Financial Manager, and are part of the group company's economic forum.

We are looking for someone who has:

• An academic degree in economics or equivalent
• Several years of experience in qualified accounting and experience in group accounting
• Management experience with personnel responsibility
• Very good knowledge of financial systems and accounting processes

Experience from audit or accounting firms is an advantage.
