NU Hospital is part of the Region of Västra Götaland and is one of Sweden's larger county hospitals. We are located at NÄL (Norra Älvsborg County Hospital) in Trollhättan and Uddevalla Hospital. The hospital's catchment area covers 280,000 inhabitants. Together, we are approximately 5,000 employees who work every day to provide good and safe specialist healthcare. About Us

The Operating Department at NÄL is one of three units within the AnOpIVA Clinic. The others are the operating department at Uddevalla Hospital and the intensive care unit at NÄL. We facilitate surgeries and treatments primarily within surgery, orthopedics, gynecology/obstetrics, and ENT. The operations run 24 hours a day, with a distribution of approximately half elective and half acute cases. Anesthesia nurses also participate in receiving critically ill or injured patients at the emergency department and assist with anesthesia outside the operating department. We offer a collegial environment with approximately 130 colleagues, and our facilities are state-of-the-art with the latest technology and equipment. Working hours are adapted to operations with individual schedules.

About You

As an anesthesia nurse, you are a key player in the operating team alongside anesthesiologists, scrub nurses, healthcare assistants, and surgeons. Your focus is on providing high-quality anesthetic nursing care with high patient safety for the patient you are currently caring for, as well as a conscious workflow focus where you, together with the team, have a plan for upcoming patients.

You enjoy working at a varied pace where challenging and demanding situations are a natural part of the job.
