The role of Category Manager means that you are responsible for driving and developing your categories in close collaboration with sales, marketing, and our customers. By converting analysis and insights into strong category plans, growth-generating actions, and clear recommendations, you create the conditions for Orkla Foods Sweden to strengthen its market position and impact with customers and in stores. Through proactive work and strong collaboration both internally and externally, you drive category issues that ensure Orkla Foods Sweden's and the category's continued sustainable, profitable growth. What you will have the opportunity to work with:
- Create a category strategy together with marketing, mapping and analyzing the dynamics of the categories over time and their drivers.
- Based on the category strategy and objectives, create the tactical 4P plan and ensure implementation through strong cross-functional collaboration with the customer team and sales force representation.
- Identify and prioritize sales force-driven growth opportunities as well as category and customer collaboration.
- Continuously conduct category follow-ups and 4P analyses.
- Continuously develop your competence in your area of responsibility through relevant market data, trends, shopper insights, and external data.
- Convey and argue category, shopper, and customer perspectives in innovation projects.
- Drive category initiatives towards central customers in collaboration with the responsible KAM (Key Account Manager).

We are looking for you who
To succeed in the role, we see that you have a background as a Master of Science in Business and Economics with a marketing focus or similar, and at least 3-5 years of work experience within FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) with experience from sales and marketing departments as well as work with market data, e.g., Nielsen. Ideally, you would have documented experience in category management. Furthermore, we would like your work experience to have given you:
- Experience in driving projects.
- Developed business understanding and habit of converting analysis into actions.
- Good ability to express yourself both verbally and in writing.
