We warmly welcome your application for the position of licensed nurse in care and housing for the elderly in the Health and Medical Care section of Falun Municipality.

Job Responsibilities

As a nurse in municipal healthcare, you lead nursing and health care work in our housing facilities. You will collaborate with assistant nurses, nursing staff, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and unit managers. You also collaborate with primary care, inpatient care, and other actors from a holistic view of the patient. You will have overall patient responsibility for the care of your patients. This includes being able to make your own assessments, sample collection, wound dressing, medication management, injections, diabetes care, and other common tasks. The work also includes preventing diseases and disease complications, e.g., falls, malnutrition, and mental illness. Furthermore, the work may include responsibility for end-of-life care.

As a nurse, you also supervise and train/delegate staff in nursing as well as in health and medical care interventions. You actively participate in development work to improve our operations.

Qualifications

Required for the role:

• You are a licensed nurse
• Category B driver's license

Meritorious Qualifications

• Specialist education in elderly care
• District nurse education
• Further education in dementia care
• Previous experience in municipal healthcare
• Other further education relevant to the position

Terms of Employment

Permanent full-time position. Scheduled working time 38.25 hours/week. Start date by agreement.
