About the role

Do you want to help develop the primary care center of the future?

Region Dalarna is working on transitioning to the future healthcare system, with Good and Close Care and primary care as the hub. Vårdcentral Kvarnsveden is one of three publicly run primary care centers in Borlänge, with approximately 12,800 registered patients and around 50 employees.

At our center, teamwork, a good work environment, and high patient safety are at the core. We are now looking for a junior doctor who wants to work in a department where we develop primary care together. Our goal is to create a sustainable workplace where the right competence does the right things, where the team around the patient is strong, and where quality and continuity are natural parts of everyday life.

As a junior doctor here, you will become a central part of a multidisciplinary team consisting of doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, psychologists, and other professional groups. Together, we work systematically to:

  • provide safe, secure, and accessible care
  • improve the work environment and workflows
  • strengthen continuity and quality in primary care

We actively work on improvement projects and would welcome your contribution to developing future ways of working in primary care.

Responsibilities

As a temporary junior doctor, we offer you a challenging and varied job. The temporary position lasts until December 2027.

The work is varied, involving patients of all ages and situations. You will work independently with clinic duties, including acute assessments and basic check-ups for conditions such as diabetes and hypertension. A qualified doctor is always available on-site for consultation. The doctors hold collegial meetings every week, and continuous training is planned.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

  • is a licensed junior doctor, or alternatively
  • has knowledge of the medical record system Cosmic
  • has completed their medical degree
  • has a good command of Swedish, both spoken and written (C1 level)
  • has an interest in primary care

Previous experience working at a primary care center or another clinic is considered an advantage.

You have good communication skills and can collaborate with others, as well as work independently and make your own decisions. You possess strong empathy, a professional approach to work, and a welcoming attitude. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
