We are now looking for nurses for the psychiatric emergency clinic as well as wards 90 and 95. Region Adult Psychiatry Falun/Säter has a county-wide mandate within adult psychiatry and is responsible for the care and treatment of patients in acute psychiatric conditions. The operations are divided between Falun and Säter. In Säter, you will find the county's only psychiatric emergency clinic as well as wards 90 and 95. In Falun, there is a dependency center, a general psychiatric inpatient ward, LARO (a specialized care unit), and ECT services.

Ward 90 in Säter is aimed at patients with severe psychiatric conditions and a great need for intensive nursing care and observation, for example, during psychosis and manic episodes. Many patients are treated under the Mental Health Act (LPT). The ward has 10 beds and high staffing levels around the clock.

Ward 95 is a general psychiatric ward with 14 beds for patients with varying psychiatric diagnoses and extensive care needs. Patients are treated under the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL) or the Mental Health Act (LPT). Here, nurses, care assistants, and doctors work together in teams with a focus on safe and person-centered care.

The position includes day and evening shifts as well as weekend duty – every other or every third weekend.

Psychiatric Emergency Clinic

As a nurse in the psychiatric emergency clinic, you will, among other things:

• Assess patients' psychiatric conditions via phone (Tele-Q) and during physical visits
• Work with prioritization using the RETTS triage system
• Provide advice, support, and information regarding treatment options and strategies
• Work closely with doctors and other healthcare staff
• Participate in the assessment of ST (specialist training) doctors' work efforts and support AT (internship) doctors and other physicians in their daily work
• Collaborate with neighboring care providers such as Prehospital Emergency Care (PEA), ambulance services, police, and other agencies

You play a central role in the first meeting with the patient.

Ward 90 and 95

As a nurse on our wards, you lead and distribute the nursing work on the ward. You are responsible for rounds, conduct patient and next-of-kin interviews, and collaborate with neighboring care providers. The role also involves participating in discharge planning, as well as performing sample collection and medication management. You collaborate with care coordinators regarding patients under Outpatient Compulsory Care (ÖPT). On the wards, nurses, doctors, and care assistants work in close cooperation, as well as together with treatment teams (counselor, psychologist, occupational therapist). All patients are assigned contact persons for individual nursing responsibility. On Ward 95, you work in a care team and participate in team rounds. There is also support from a ward coordinator during daytime hours.
