Psychiatry at Region Gotland consists of inpatient care, addiction care, and outpatient care for both children and adults. We have a psychiatric emergency clinic available 24/7.

The adult psychiatric outpatient clinic is located in Visby and covers the entire island. Although the catchment area is relatively small in terms of size and population, the island location requires the operations to offer a broad range of competencies and services.

We are currently undergoing a comprehensive development project that includes adapting and implementing nationally developed care pathways, national care and intervention programs, and regional process maps.

Approximately 40 employees from various professions work at the outpatient clinic. The treatment group consists of psychologists, psychotherapists, CBT therapists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, rehabilitation coordinators, and social workers. Currently, there are ten permanent psychologists, but we have room for one more. We are now looking for you who wants to contribute in an environment where it is easy to thrive!

Your responsibilities

The psychologist assesses and investigates patients, often in a multidisciplinary collaboration with, for example, doctors, and provides treatment and psycho-educational interventions individually or in groups. The position involves investigative work, often with neuropsychiatric questions, and treatment interventions using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). A key part of the role is to coordinate cross-organizational work to continuously develop adult psychiatry's process maps for various psychiatric conditions and care processes, both in inpatient and outpatient care. You will have support from process owners for the different process maps.

The competence of psychologists plays a crucial role in our ongoing improvement work, particularly in the development of adult psychiatry's process maps.

Who are you?

We are looking for a licensed psychologist. You should have experience working with psychiatric patients, including psychiatric assessments and psychological investigations, as well as good knowledge of neuropsychiatric symptoms in adults. Experience and interest in working with patients with complex psychiatric conditions, including comorbidity with addiction, are meritorious.

It is particularly meritorious if you have experience with and interest in clinic-based operational development, such as regarding care process maps and/or overall method development.
