Are you an occupational therapist and want to make a difference for people with disabilities? We are now looking for our new colleague who wants to work with us!

The habilitation unit offers interventions to people with congenital or early-acquired disabilities such as autism, intellectual disability, and extensive motor impairments. We strive to provide evidence-based care based on current research and proven experience.

Our clinic is centrally located in Visby, and we consist of approximately 20 employees from various professions. It is important to us to have a person-centered and health-promoting approach where we work based on each patient's conditions.

Your responsibilities

We offer meaningful work with complex, challenging, and developmental patient cases. We work in interdisciplinary teams, and you will work both independently and together with competent professional and team colleagues.

You will have the opportunity to work from a life perspective and provide support for our patients and their networks. Based on the habilitation diagnosis, we help patients find strategies for a functioning daily life, either on their own or together with their network. You will work in a team-based manner, have individual contacts, and provide group education.

The work takes place primarily at the clinic in the habilitation facilities but may also occur in the patient's immediate environment as needed.

Who are you?

You, the applicant, are a licensed occupational therapist and have a genuine interest in the target group. Experience in habilitation work is advantageous, but we welcome both newly graduated and experienced occupational therapists.

In your work, you base your approach on the patient's needs and involve the patient and their network in the work. You work efficiently with others and see teamwork as an asset to your profession.

You will conduct both individual assessments as well as assessments and visits together with other professions in the team. You naturally take personal responsibility for your work, have the ability to prioritize tasks, and can quickly adapt to changed conditions. You plan your work independently based on a holistic view of the operations and in collaboration with colleagues. You also have an interest in creating new ways of working together with others and see digital solutions as part of your work.

A background check via an extract from the criminal record will be conducted before a decision on employment is made.
