The Habilitation unit works with children and young people with permanent disabilities, such as intellectual disabilities, autism, and motor difficulties. We provide advice, support, and treatment to enable children to live as independent a life as possible.
At the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry outpatient clinic, more than 25 employees from various professions work together. The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (CAP) clinic is organized into two general psychiatric teams. In addition, there are subspecialized eating disorders and DBT teams run jointly with adult psychiatry. In collaboration with social services, there is also a social psychiatric team here.
The Child and Adolescent Medicine service area consists of an outpatient clinic, an inpatient ward, and day care. Here, children and young people aged 0–18 are diagnosed and treated.
We are responsible for the children at the maternity ward (BB), for medical check-ups at the Child Health Center (BVC), and contribute medical staff at Barnahus (Children's House). The activity collaborates with the Habilitation unit, CAP, schools, social services, and other hospital departments.
Your responsibilities
As the coordinating nurse, you are responsible for coordinating care processes across our three areas of activity: Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Habilitation, and Child Medicine.
You also coordinate efforts in the toddler team, which assesses children aged 0–5 with unclear developmental delays, and you take medical histories for the children being assessed.
You are responsible for the delegation of medication at the short-term residential facilities for children.
The role will likely change in the future, as responsibilities may be transferred to other functions within the Health and Medical Care Administration and the Social Administration. You will therefore be involved in this process as a business developer.
Who are you?
You are a registered nurse.
To succeed in this role, you need a good understanding of the aforementioned activities and experience working with children with disabilities.
The job requires strong coordination skills and the ability to coordinate processes and interventions. Since the responsibilities span multiple activities, flexibility in your working methods is required.
Experience in business development is an advantage.
A background check via an extract from the criminal record will be conducted prior to the hiring decision.
