The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a department within the AnOpIVA operational area. The ICU has a total of five care beds. At the ICU, we are responsible for the acute alarm chain at the hospital and we have a mobile intensive care team. There is also an ICU outpatient clinic where we provide consultancy services to the rest of the hospital, and in the evenings, nights, and weekends, we are also responsible for postoperative care. We admit and care for patients of all ages who require more advanced monitoring, diagnostics, treatment, and nursing care. Patients in need of extended specialist care are transported by helicopter or air ambulance to the mainland.

We are now looking for a Nursing Assistant to join our team. Here, you will receive an introduction tailored to your knowledge and experience. You will also enjoy a varied daily routine and a stimulating environment with competent colleagues and a workplace with good development opportunities.

Your Responsibilities

As a Nursing Assistant at the ICU, you work in a team with doctors and nurses around the patient. Advanced intensive care is provided on the ward, and in your role, you work with both monitoring and nursing care for patients with failure of vital functions. You also assist in caring for intermediate care patients and monitor postoperative patients. In your role, you are responsible for the patient's nursing care and nursing needs together with the rest of the nursing staff.

Who are you?

You are a qualified Nursing Assistant with proof of a protected professional title from the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare. You have experience working as a Nursing Assistant in inpatient care. It is an advantage if you are a specialized Nursing Assistant in intensive care and have experience working on an intensive care unit.

You are a secure and dedicated Nursing Assistant who meets patients and relatives with warmth, respect, and professional calm. You have good clinical insight, are attentive to changes, and thrive in an environment where you can use both your nursing competence and your ability to act quickly and structured.

As a colleague, you contribute to a positive work climate and appreciate working closely with different professions. You are team-oriented, communicative, and see the team's shared responsibility as a natural part of the work.

You are flexible, solution-oriented, and have an easy time prioritizing when the situation requires it. Above all, you have a genuine interest in advanced nursing care and want to help create security for our most critically ill patients.

Personal suitability is given great weight.

A background check through an extract from the criminal record register is conducted before a decision on employment is made.
