In early 2026, Odvalds Specialized Housing opened in Klintehamn – a modern, nature-oriented residence where we are building work methods, routines, and teams from the ground up. Odvalds offers 60 apartments for people with dementia and somatic needs, distributed across six ground-floor units. The residence features bright and modern facilities, spacious apartments, and an accessible outdoor environment with gardens and walking paths, beautifully situated near nature, forests, and the sea.

At Odvalds, both employees from previous operations and new colleagues who joined during the startup phase work together. The operation is still in a development phase where routines, work methods, and collaboration are being shaped jointly by the work group.

We are now looking for three assistant nurses/residential assistants for our elder care facility, placed on the somatic ward. Even if you belong to a specific unit, you will work together with colleagues across the entire house, within both somatic and dementia care, to create continuity and the best possible care for the residents. Your Responsibilities

As an assistant nurse/residential assistant, you will among other things:

• Perform standard care tasks such as personal care, household duties, medication administration, and other delegated HSL interventions, with a focus on security and continuity.
• Contribute to a meaningful and individualized daily life through accompaniment, activities, and social interaction.
• Work with a calm and respectful approach based on each person's cognitive ability and daily condition.
• Participate in and perform palliative care, providing support to both residents and relatives in the final stages of life.
• Work based on IBIC and person-centered care, focusing on the individual's needs, habits, and life history.
• Act as a contact person, including drawing up and following up on implementation plans.
• Document, communicate with relatives, and handle certain administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the unit manager, nurse, and rehabilitation staff to create safe care.
• Be involved in developing work methods and routines within the operation.
• Be flexible and, if necessary, support other units, for example within dementia care.
• Work days, evenings, and every other weekend.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who are trained as an assistant nurse and have the right to use the protected professional title according to current regulations. Experience in elder care is an advantage.

For the position of residential assistant, you need to have upper secondary education. Experience in care and social services is an advantage.

As a person, you are secure, stable, and show personal maturity. You have a genuine interest in working with people with dementia and meet each individual calmly, respectfully, and pedagogically. You have a good holistic view and create security, structure, and meaning in everyday life.

You work independently and systematically, while also having good cooperation skills and contributing to a positive team spirit. You are flexible and development-oriented, see opportunities in change, and want to be part of developing the operation. You take responsibility, show initiative, and make well-considered assessments in both planned and unexpected situations.

In accordance with current language requirements, you need to have good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing to ensure correct documentation and communication.
