Behavioral Scientist/Counselor with CBT Step 1 at Stadsmissionshälsan and our new counseling clinic in Eskilstuna

We are now expanding our Stadsmissionshälsa services with a new counseling clinic and are looking for you who want to meet and support individuals in vulnerable groups.

About Stadsmissionshälsa

Through Stadsmissionshälsa, we can offer socially vulnerable groups the care they are entitled to, which can sometimes be difficult to access within regular healthcare. A very important part of our work is to identify patients at an early stage to prevent more serious health conditions.

Stadsmissionshälsa is an open drop-in clinic where no appointment is required. All visits are free of charge. Our clinics are located in both Eskilstuna and Nyköping.

Your Responsibilities

The role involves individual assessments, treatment, and guidance for adult patients at the counseling clinic, which will become part of Stadsmissionshälsa. The clinic operates in connection with our open meeting places in Eskilstuna and Nyköping.

As a behavioral scientist/counselor, you will meet a broad group of patients for assessment and counseling support. Common reasons for seeking help include anxiety disorders, depression, and stress/burnout reactions, often rooted in trauma. In addition to individual conversations and assessments, you will act as a bridge between the patient and primary care/psychiatry, which may also involve accompanying patients to certain appointments at these institutions.

Since the counseling clinic is new and operates in a project format, you will also participate in the development and evaluation of the clinic.

This position corresponds to 20% of a full-time role.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a behavioral scientist or counselor with training in CBT Step 1. You have clinical experience and competence in diagnostics and counseling support. Previous experience in counseling within primary care and/or psychiatry is meritorious.

Building trust and being trustworthy are essential for success in the role and for effectively reaching our visitors. It is also important that you have a good sense of service and are easy to work with. Personal suitability will be given great weight.
