The Division of Education has over 1,900 employees, and together we work to provide children, young people, and adults with a good education. Our focus is to stimulate students' learning and development based on their own prerequisites. Among us are some of society's most important services, and you can be sure that your work will play a significant role in many people's lives.

We are responsible for, among other things, 31 preschools, 17 primary schools, adapted primary schools, Nyköping Upper Secondary School, adapted upper secondary schools, as well as adult education at Campus Nyköping.

Nyköping is developing, construction is happening like never before, more people are choosing to move here, and our school organization is growing. We are now looking for a Social Pedagogue with a main focus on the After-School Center (Fritidshem).

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for you who, as part of a team, want to develop the pedagogical work regarding our students in the after-school centers. Based on the central content of the curriculum, you will create a meaningful, creative, and inspiring after-school center activity, utilizing knowledge in playful, creative, and language-developing approaches. We want our operations to be permeated by a positive outlook, and we have strong confidence in the students' competencies.

You collaborate with guardians, other educators, the student health team, and school leadership to provide students with a good education. You document your own and the department's pedagogical work and results in various ways.

During school hours, you are involved in classroom and break-time processes. You support students during lessons, at breaks, in changing rooms, and in the cafeteria. We distribute different areas of responsibility among ourselves, which may mean that you are responsible for and lead break-time activities, food councils, student councils, or are part of, for example, the school's safety team.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with a degree in Social Pedagogy and good knowledge of schools and after-school centers. You have documented experience working with students in need of special support. A strong solution focus and high organizational skills are meritorious.

It is a given for us that you put the student and the student's success at the center.

You need to have stable leadership skills, good organizational and collaborative abilities. Good experience of collaboration and coordination with other actors, e.g., social services, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP), and habilitation services.
