Do you thrive on coordination and leadership? We are looking for a coordinator for the Social Intervention Group (SIG) in the Child and Family Investigation Unit, Unit 2.
Social Intervention Groups (SIG) are a collaborative working method involving social services, the police, other authorities, civil society, and the family. The goal is to tailor individual support for young people and young adults who are at risk of developing, or have already developed, a criminal lifestyle. The purpose of the SIG is to coordinate efforts from these actors to prevent individuals from falling into crime or reoffending.
The Child and Family Investigation Unit handles cases concerning children and young people (0–20 years). We are part of the Social Services Administration, which is responsible for creating social security for children, young people, and adults, with the aim of achieving social sustainability. We meet people who, for various reasons, find themselves in difficult situations and need advice, support, or interventions from social services. The Social Services Administration applies the 'Signs of Safety' approach and methods as a foundation for investigation and change work.
1 position(s).
Job Responsibilities
Your main task is to collaborate and coordinate interventions with internal and external stakeholders. You contribute to creating a shared vision and good cooperation. By working from a systems theory perspective, the support you provide also includes the family, relatives, and other significant people in the young person's life. Using assessment tools such as SAVRY, you map needs and life situations, which assists, among others, the investigating social workers. You support, guide, and lead those who work directly with the young person and their family.
Qualifications
You have a degree in social work or equivalent academic education, along with several years of experience working with young people and children exhibiting norm-breaking behavior, for example from authority work, treatment work, or social work. Experience in a supervisory role is preferred. It is positive if you have experience under the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU), as well as knowledge of RBM (Risk, Need, Responsivity principles). Additionally, training in Signs of Safety, structured assessment methods like SAVRY or ESTER, and experience with interventions such as FFT or CBT-based programs are considered merits. A valid driver's license (Category B) is required.
The role requires you to distinguish between personal and professional matters, which you do by having good self-insight and being secure and stable in yourself. Through your structure and good cooperation skills, you navigate different perspectives in a constructive manner. You take responsibility for your tasks and can work independently. Of course, you also enjoy collaborating with others; you are flexible and responsive to emerging needs, which also helps you create and maintain the many contacts the role entails. You are accustomed to adapting quickly when circumstances change. Does this sound interesting? We welcome your application!
