Support Assistant for Day Activity Centre

About the Company

Jobbex Omsorg is a private, family-owned care provider in the KFV region. We operate group homes, service apartments, and day activity programs under the LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) for adults with intellectual disabilities and autism.

We were founded with the ambition to create safe, developmental, and meaningful environments for both users and employees. Our approach is characterized by presence, structure, and genuine engagement with every individual. At our company, relationships, security, and quality are more important than quick fixes, and we are an employer that stays close to our operations and our staff.

About the Day Activity Centre

Our day activity program is aimed at adults belonging to person group 1 under the LSS. The activity is individualized and based on clear structure, predictability, and pedagogical support in daily life. The goal is to create meaningful and developmental days where each individual is given the opportunity to strengthen their independence and participation based on their own prerequisites.

In daily practice, the work involves creating structure and content together with the participants. This can include work-like tasks, creative activities, practical chores, walks, and breaks, always with a focus on clarity, participation, and adaptation to the individual's prerequisites. The work takes place in small groups, allowing time for relationships, pedagogical support, and follow-up.

Our facilities are located in Flen and Baggetorp. We are primarily looking for someone who lives in the local area and wants to work locally in a smaller, cohesive operation where continuity, collaboration, and relationships are an important part of the quality of support.

About the Role of Support Assistant

As a support assistant in the day activity centre, you work closely with participants in their daily activities. You are calm and clear, creating structure, motivating, and adapting support based on the individual's needs, daily condition, and development.

The role is varied and responsible, involving active participation in the planning, implementation, and follow-up of pedagogical work. In our operations, we sometimes encounter individuals with challenging behavior, which requires you to be calm, secure, and professional in your interactions. The work is carried out using low-arousal and preventive approaches, clear routines, and close collaboration with colleagues and managers.

Examples of tasks:

  • Provide pedagogical and individualized support in daily activities
  • Create and maintain structure, routines, and clarity
  • Strengthen the individual's independence, participation, and motivation
  • Document according to current routines and legislation
  • Collaborate with colleagues, managers, and, if necessary, relatives or other actors

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who is positive, self-assured, and has a natural aptitude for curiosity and perseverance. You thrive in a job where you sometimes need to try different pedagogical solutions, adjust, and test again to find what works for the individual.

You have the ability to handle challenging situations in a calm and respectful manner and see the value in structure, collaboration, and long-term perspective. For you, quality in interaction and the relationship with the individual is a natural part of the professional role.

Requirements for the Position

  • Experience working in LSS activities with adults in person group 1
  • Educated as a nursing assistant or equivalent relevant education
  • Category B driver's license for manual transmission vehicles
  • Good Swedish language skills (spoken and written)

Merits

  • Educated as a support pedagogue
  • Experience with pedagogical tools, methods, or approaches
  • Experience working with challenging behaviors
  • Experience with documentation in activity systems

What We Offer

With us, you get to work in a safe, stable, and well-organized operation where pedagogy, quality, and structure are a natural part of everyday life. You become part of a competent and close-knit team with close leadership and good opportunities for collaboration and support.

The work is stimulating, developmental, and meaningful, providing a clear added value both for those we support and for you as an employee. We offer a clear introduction, ongoing support and supervision, as well as good conditions for you to feel secure and want to stay and develop with us over time.
