We are looking for a Project Engineer for Trafikverket (Swedish Transport Administration).

This is a consulting assignment. The location of employment is Gothenburg.

The position is full-time.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork skills.

The Assignment

As a Project Engineer, you will assist one or more project managers in road infrastructure projects by providing support in planning, administration, and monitoring of projects regarding time, cost, content, risks, resources, quality, safety, environment, and working environment. The role also involves internal and external contacts, participation in meetings with consultants and contractors, and preparing materials for monitoring contractors' deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Assist one or more project managers.
• Support planning, administration, and monitoring regarding time, cost, content, risks, resources, quality, safety, environment, and working environment.
• Assist the project manager with internal and external contacts.
• Participate in meetings with consultants and contractors.
• Prepare materials to follow up on deliveries from contractors.
• Provide suggestions for decisions regarding measures, action alternatives, and resource usage within the project's framework.
• Contribute to ensuring that work is carried out in accordance with laws, regulations, guidelines, ordinances, and internal methods and processes.
• Transfer knowledge to Trafikverket employees regarding the tasks performed on behalf of Trafikverket.

Requirements (Mandatory)

• University education, technical focus, minimum 120 credits in economics, engineering, or infrastructure, or equivalent knowledge assessed by the client as comparable.
• Minimum 5 years of experience, with at least 50% full-time equivalent in the role, over the last 5 years working in road infrastructure projects as a Project Engineer, Contract Engineer, Project Coordinator, or Project Economist, of which 2 of the 5 years must have been continuous in one assignment.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in risk management, scheduling, and financial management in projects.
• Valid driver's license for passenger cars.
• Fluency in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Meritorious Qualifications

• Certification according to TDOK 2018:0371 APV, at least according to the requirements in step 2.2.
