Do you want to lead the operations that form the hub of the customer experience at our animal hospital, while simultaneously creating the prerequisites for a well-functioning internal support structure? Do you thrive in a role where leadership, collaboration, and development go hand in hand? Then this could be your next step.

About the Workplace

ANICURA ANIMAL HOSPITAL in Jönköping is the region's largest animal hospital. We have been in existence for over 40 years, and around 100 people work here. We have a well-developed emergency care service, and the hospital also conducts successful operations in areas such as oncology (including radiation therapy), surgery, dentistry, and ophthalmology. We utilize imaging diagnostics such as CT and ultrasound with the latest technical equipment.

Our emergency department is currently open from 07:00 to 21:00, but we have inpatients around the clock. We are passionate about ensuring that animals and their owners have a place to turn to when their pet falls ill – and we are aiming long-term to be able to receive patients 24/7.

About the Role

As the Manager for Reception, Telephony, and Administrative Services, you are responsible for functions that are crucial for both the customer experience and the flow of daily animal healthcare. Together with your employees, you contribute to creating security for pet owners, safe and secure communication between staff and customers, a good work environment for colleagues, and the best possible conditions for care.

The role involves both operational and strategic responsibility. You are responsible for staffing and scheduling your team, as well as for the development of both the group and the individual, as well as working methods. You will also spend part of your time working side-by-side with employees to understand and engage with the operations. You have special responsibility for the development of our customer service and customer relations, where you analyze the current situation and drive improvement work.

As a member of the animal hospital's management team, you also take responsibility for the overall development of the business. We are therefore looking for a manager who not only looks after their own area of responsibility but actively contributes to the whole, the collaboration between departments, and our long-term goals.

Your Main Areas of Responsibility

  • Personnel responsibility for reception, telephony, maintenance, and administrative staff.
  • Lead, coach, and develop employees and teams.
  • Ensure high quality, service, and accessibility in our customer-facing functions.
  • Drive improvement and change work within the area of responsibility, with a special focus on customer service, customer relations, and communication.
  • Work actively with the animal hospital's visibility to customers in external channels.
  • Contribute actively to the animal hospital's management team and business development.
  • Promote collaboration and good communication between different functions and professional groups.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who are a confident and engaged leader with the ability to build good relationships and get people to work towards common goals. You have an interest and feeling for animals, and feel that you want to contribute to ensuring our customers get the best possible contact with animal healthcare.

To succeed in the role, we believe you:

  • Have very good communication skills.
  • Are relationship-building and unpretentious, and find it easy to build trusting collaborations.
  • Are proactive and take initiative for development and improvement.
  • Have strong problem-solving skills and see opportunities where others see obstacles.
  • Are structured and can prioritize in a business with many contact points.
  • Have a strong service focus and understand the importance of professional customer service.

We would like you to have

  • Previous experience in a managerial or leadership role with personnel responsibility.
  • Experience working in communication, customer service, or similar areas.
  • Experience from businesses where the customer or patient experience is central.
  • Experience in change management and business development.

What We Offer

Here you will have the opportunity to lead functions that are central to both the customer experience and the success of the business. You will become part of an engaged animal hospital with high competence, a strong focus on quality, and a desire to constantly develop.

As a member of the management team, you will also have the opportunity to influence the future direction of the animal hospital and contribute to creating the best conditions for both employees, animals, and pet owners.
