About the Employer

We are a family who owns a beautifully situated farm just south of Norrtälje, but we reside in Stockholm. We are therefore looking for a part-time farm manager to help us with various maintenance and upkeep tasks for the property, which includes stables, residential buildings, land areas, equestrian facilities, and private residences near the shore.

Job Description:

The role of farm manager involves acting as a property caretaker and maintenance supervisor. You will have an important and versatile role where you are responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the property as well as various service tasks.

Your responsibilities include:

Maintenance of buildings and facilities:

You will paint facades, repair and paint fences, clean gutters, and so on, as needed, to ensure the condition and appearance of our buildings and facilities. This also includes a general inspection of the farm and grounds to identify any maintenance needs.

Contact person for tenants:

As the contact person for tenants, you handle all repairs and maintenance measures in their residences and common areas. You coordinate with craftsmen, follow up on work, and ensure that everything is carried out to the tenants' satisfaction and stays within the agreed budget.

Upkeep of the farm and riding arena:

You are responsible for regularly harrowing the riding arena and the farmyard to maintain a functional and safe environment for both humans and animals. It is not a problem if you have not driven a tractor/ATV before, as we can teach you.

Service and repairs: As the contact person for troubleshooting and repairs, you ensure that all equipment and machinery are in top condition. This includes ensuring that machinery such as tractors, ATVs, robotic lawnmowers, and ride-on mowers are maintained and serviced.

Gardening/Land care: Tasks such as brush cutting and general clearing of our land to keep the area free from overgrowth and litter are also part of your duties. All materials for this are provided.

Logistical tasks: You handle the purchase of materials such as petrol and diesel, and ensure that all machinery has the required fuel supply.

Administration: Administrative tasks such as managing boat rentals and other revenue streams are also part of your role.

Qualifications

• A valid driver's license (Category B) and access to your own car are required. Mileage allowance is not included.
• Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Experience with at least one of the above-mentioned tasks; the more, the better.

A big plus if you have previous experience in any of the following areas: gardening/brush cutting, facade painting, or carpentry.

Scope

Part-time; approximately 80% during the summer, 20% during the winter, or as needed.

Salary

150–170 SEK/hour depending on experience.
