We are looking for a Project Buyer responsible for procurement activities within projects, with a focus on prototype purchasing and early supplier involvement. You will drive the procurement process during the prototype phase and collaborate closely with the project team, procurement, quality, engineering, and production to ensure that materials and components meet requirements for quality, cost, and delivery time. The role involves representing procurement in projects, integrating supplier expertise early in product development, and working closely with project managers and cross-functional teams.

You are structured, proactive, and thrive in a project-oriented environment. You have a collaborative approach to work and can balance commercial, technical, and quality aspects. You communicate clearly with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers and feel confident driving procurement processes independently.
- Experience in procurement within project, industrial, or manufacturing operations.
- Good knowledge of procurement processes, including RFQ, supplier selection, negotiation, and order management.
- Experience with supplier contacts and commercial negotiations.
- Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and production.
- Strong organizational skills and experience managing multiple parallel activities.
- Experience with ERP systems and good proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
- Experience with prototype purchasing, early supplier involvement, as well as series and category purchasing is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of raw material contracts, supplier matrices, and product development processes is a plus.
- Background in the automotive or manufacturing industry, as well as experience in improvement work, is considered an asset.
- Responsible for procurement activities and material sourcing within projects.
- Drive the entire procurement process during the prototype phase, from RFQ and offer analysis to order placement and delivery follow-up.
- Coordinate and develop prototype suppliers and follow up on deliveries and performance.
- Represent procurement and the supplier perspective in projects, communicating prices, lead times, and supplier information to the project team.
- Ensure procurement-related parts of the BoM, including prices and lead times.
- Collaborate with procurement, quality, engineering, and production to select and involve the right suppliers early in product development.
- Prepare decision support for supplier selection based on internal and customer-specific requirements.
- Manage purchase orders, documentation, drawing changes, goods receipts, and updates in the ERP system.
- Ensure correct procurement data and comply with applicable supplier agreements and raw material structures.
- Actively work on supplier development, material planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
