Who are we?

• The Amphibian Battalion in Gothenburg is a highly mobile unit with fast combat boats. The battalion's main task is combat in archipelago and coastal areas. We are a development unit with significant growth in personnel, equipment, and capabilities, which means good opportunities for a developing soldier assignment within several specializations.

Currently, the battalion is organized into three companies: 504. Amphibian Rifle Company with rifle combat supported by mortars, 505. Maintenance Company with logistics and medical platoons, and 502. Amphibian Company which conducts sea target combat with missile and mine units, where the battalion's command and communications capabilities are concentrated.

The Command Platoon is currently organized as part of 502. Amphibian Company. The Command Platoon is primarily staffed by combat control and communications soldiers. Combat control soldiers serve staffs and help commanders at various levels compile and transfer information. Communications soldiers work with establishing and operating the battalion's communications network, mainly in the form of radio links.

The position in the Command Platoon will in daily life involve developing your own competence through further education, physical training, and routine service to ensure that our systems and platforms are operational.

The position covers ranks OR1–5.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• Completed and approved conscription service.
• Completed assignment training as a combat control soldier at Amf1 or Amf4.
• Upper secondary education with passing grades.
• Swimming proficiency 400 m.
• Lifesaving: 25 m swimming, dive 3 m, 25 m towing of a dummy.
• Physical status equivalent to FM FysS 3.

Personal Attributes

Many of the battalion's tasks are very demanding, which is why special requirements are placed on our soldiers both physically and mentally. You are stress-resistant, self-reliant, flexible, and always do your best to solve the task at hand.

You do not need to have completed assignment training for the position you are applying for. We prefer that you are a person who is curious and driven. We will teach you what you need to know.

Meritorious

• Conscription/basic training/service within the Amphibian Corps.
• Category B driver's license.

Other

Employment type: Full-time GSS/K-service with a fixed-term employment of 6 years, including a 6-month probation period for new hires. Individual salary setting applies according to agreement.

Work location: Västra Frölunda, Gothenburg.

Travel and evening/weekend duty occur.

Start date: Week 31

After the selection process, you may be called to a test day. This is held at the Gothenburg Garrison during June. During the test day, your suitability is assessed while physical tests and interviews are conducted.
