On behalf of our client, we are now looking for an Assistant Estimating Manager with the ambition to eventually take over responsibility for the estimating function. Our client is an established player in the earthworks and construction industry with a strong market position. Over the past two decades, they have grown steadily and executed extensive projects within both the private and public sectors. With a strong focus on technical innovation and digital solutions, they are a driving force in the industry's development.

They have carried out projects for both private and public clients across the country, including the construction of schools, office spaces, residential properties, and industrial buildings. The company offers services such as foundation work, earthworks, fine grading, and rock excavation.

This position is a direct hire, meaning the recruitment process is handled through Futuria People, but you will be employed directly by the client. All questions regarding the position and recruitment should be directed to the responsible recruitment consultant at Futuria.

About the Role

This is a strategically important hire where you will gradually grow into the role of Estimating Manager.

You will work closely with the current Estimating Manager during a handover period while contributing your own ideas, developing working methods, and helping the organization take the next step.

In this role, you will among other things:

• Be responsible for estimating and tendering work for earthworks and construction projects
• Participate in tender reviews and risk assessments
• Develop structure, processes, and quality assurance within the estimating work
• Collaborate closely with production, site managers, and management
• Contribute to business development and identification of new business opportunities
• Build and develop customer relationships
• Eventually take greater responsibility for the estimating function and its development

We are looking for you who

Have experience in estimating, tendering, or project management within earthworks, construction, foundation work, or related contracting activities.

You do not need to be an Estimating Manager today. The most important thing is that you have the right drive, business understanding, and willingness to develop towards a future leadership role.

We believe you have:

• Experience in estimating and tendering for earthworks and construction projects
• Good technical understanding within contracting activities
• Ability to analyze risks and opportunities in projects
• Interest in structure, process development, and operational improvements
• Good communication skills
• A business-minded and solution-oriented approach

It is an advantage if you have:

• Leadership experience
• Experience with Trafikverket (Swedish Transport Administration) or infrastructure investments
• Your own network within the industry
