We are looking for a Construction Manager for a municipality in Stockholm.

This is a consulting assignment. The base of operations is Stockholm.

The position is for 20–60 %.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork skills.

The Assignment

The Construction Manager plays an operational role in the execution of the project, which involves the expansion of a theme playground including associated stormwater management, lighting, and artistic design. The assignment has a strong focus on coordinating several technical areas and integrating art into the built environment. The Construction Manager is responsible for ongoing construction management during production and supports the client in procurement and bid evaluation. The role includes coordination between the contractor, design team, artist, and other external actors, as well as monitoring time, economy, quality, working environment, and regulatory requirements. The assignment also includes handling changes and additional work, participating in inspections, and ensuring a structured handover to operations and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Support in procurement.
• Support in negotiations with internal and external parties.
• Support regarding production issues.
• Support in economic matters.
• Advisory services on technical issues.
• Support in the project's planning, coordination, monitoring, and reporting.

Requirements (OBS, mandatory)

Fluent Swedish in speech and writing.

Relevant university/college education, or alternatively upper secondary education or equivalent competence through work experience.

The consultant must have at least five (5) years of documented experience leading construction projects (in the role of project management/construction management) within civil engineering, specifically pipe laying and earthworks.

Construction projects of similar size or complexity to the current project.

Experience such as Site Manager, Project Manager, and Foreman is accepted as equivalent experience.

Good knowledge of AMA, MER, and BBR.

Certified BAS-P/U.

Merits

Experience working with artists is a merit.

Experience in construction management in playground or theme playground projects, preferably with artistic elements, child safety issues, and/or collaborative contracting.
