Do you want to take the next step and work with advanced systems in a high-tech environment within the defense industry? Through Experis Academy, you will have the opportunity to train in system safety. The training starts in November and takes place on-site in Umeå. After completing the training, you will undergo a 12-month specialization period with our partner in Umeå, where you will further develop and apply your knowledge in practice.
Join us in working for a safer world!
Do you want to contribute to safer societies and a safer, more sustainable, and fairer world? Here you can make a difference! As a System Safety Engineer, you will join a team striving for a common goal: to create a world where safety is a given. You will be part of something bigger, and every day you will work together with colleagues to shape safety and security for people around the world.
Step 1 - Training: Experis Academy's training in system safety
Experis Academy and our partner offer you a job that begins with intensive training in system safety areas, followed by a consulting assignment and specialization in this field in Umeå.
Experis Academy is part of the consulting firm Experis. Our training programs have grown and developed across Europe over the years. We focus heavily on coaching to give our employees the opportunity to complement their technical skills with other soft skills. The employment begins with intensive training conducted by Experis Academy. After completing the training, all participating employees will begin working as consultants for our partner in the defense industry, which we refer to below as the specialization period.
Benefits of Experis Academy:
- Salary, competence development, secure employment, and supervision: During the training period and your time as a consultant on your specialization assignment, you will receive compensation and professional supervision.
- Specialization period: After the training, a 12-month specialization period awaits with our partner, where you will deepen and apply your newly acquired skills in practical work.
Step 2 - Specialization period: The role of System Safety Engineer
As a System Safety Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that technical systems are approved in accordance with standards. You will work closely with colleagues and project groups, jointly working to develop and maintain our partner's portfolio of products. Among other things, you will have the opportunity to collaborate across several disciplines, such as mechanics, electronics, procurement, and production, which will give you a broad network.
Your role extends beyond merely identifying risks; you will be responsible for analyzing and minimizing system risks to prevent potential accidents that could cause harm to people, property, or the environment. These analyses cover the entire system lifecycle, meaning you will work with hardware, software, and the interaction with users and other external systems. This also means you will dive deep into analyses, risk assessments, documentation, quality assurance, and development. Here you will have the opportunity to settle in, develop, and become an expert in the field.
Who can apply?
For us, you as a person are the most important. Your drive, motivation, and willingness to learn weigh heavier than exactly what experience you have today. We are looking for someone who is meticulous and analytical, and who simultaneously has the ability to see the big picture in complex systems. You are curious, proactive, and comfortable driving your own work forward, both independently and together with others. You thrive in a role where structure, methodology, and documentation are central parts of everyday life, and where quality and safety are always in focus.
You have a genuine interest in technology and want to understand how systems work – not just what they do, but why.
We believe you are someone who:
- Is detail-oriented while maintaining a clear overall perspective.
- Works systematically and structured with processes, analyses, and documentation.
- Is curious, self-motivated, and responsible.
- Collaborates easily and shares knowledge with colleagues.
- Wants to understand technical systems deeply and is not afraid of complexity.
- Communicates fluently in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
We also believe you have some or all of the following:
- Higher education, preferably in engineering, mechanics, electronics, or software.
- Previous experience working as an engineer or in system-related technical roles.
- Experience or exposure to systems, system safety, or similar areas.
- Experience working with documentation, analyses, and structured working methods.
- Experience from production and/or industry.
- Interest in system architecture, design, and underlying technical solutions.
