The Role

We are now looking for an Automation Engineer to join our team in Umeå. In this role, you will work with both traditional industrial automation and modern digital automation technology, contributing to the construction of scalable and efficient systems for customers across multiple industries.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Program and configure PLC and automation systems for industrial and technical projects
• Develop and maintain automation workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and distribution systems
• Design and test integrations between industrial control systems, APIs, cloud services, and software platforms
• Support customers with automation solutions that improve operational efficiency and scalability
• Collaborate with software developers, embedded engineers, and AI/ML specialists on integrated solutions
• Improve and maintain internal automation standards, documentation, and development processes
• Participate in testing, debugging, and commissioning as needed

The position may involve occasional travel within Sweden and internationally, but is primarily based at our office in Umeå.

About You

• Bachelor's degree in Automation Technology, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or similar
• 2–3 years of experience in automation technology, PLC programming, DevOps, or system automation
• Experience with Siemens and/or Allen Bradley PLC systems is considered a strong asset.
• Familiarity with automation tools and workflows such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar platforms
• Interest in Industry 4.0, AI/ML, robotics, and industrial digitalization
• Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
