Job Description

At Bilfinger, we are now looking for a Technical Project Manager who wants to take the next step in their career. We are looking for you who have a background in an engineering discipline and thrive on leading projects, driving change, and creating results together with customers and colleagues within the Swedish industry.

Here, you will have the opportunity to combine project management with technical specialist work and develop gradually in line with the needs of our customers and projects.

About the Role

As a Technical Project Manager at Bilfinger, you will work in a varied role where you lead investment, conversion, and development projects within the process industry. The projects are carried out both at our customers' sites and together with our multidisciplinary engineering teams.

The role combines project management with technical engineering work within your area of expertise, meaning you contribute to both the execution of the projects and the technical development of our assignments.

You are responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring projects regarding time, cost, quality, and safety, ensuring that project goals are achieved in close collaboration with customers, suppliers, and internal resources.

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects through the entire lifecycle, from feasibility studies and concept development to execution and handover.
  • Plan and coordinate resources, activities, and deliverables.
  • Be responsible for the project's economy, schedule, and reporting.
  • Support and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Contribute technical expertise within your own discipline.
  • Participate in customer dialogues and develop long-term customer relationships.
  • Ensure that projects are carried out according to Bilfinger's high requirements for HSE, quality, and sustainability.

About You

We are looking for you who have a technical education and experience from the process industry, energy, chemicals, mining, cogeneration, or similar operations.

You likely have a background in areas such as process, mechanics, piping, electrical, instrumentation, automation, design, or project activities, and have taken on increasing responsibility for leading projects, activities, or technical teams in recent years.

As a person, you are structured, communicative, and solution-oriented. You thrive on creating engagement, building relationships, and driving work forward together with others.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree or equivalent technical experience.
  • Experience from the process industry or other technically advanced industrial operations.
  • Experience and interest in leading technical projects, sub-projects, or multidisciplinary assignments.
  • Good understanding of project management, planning, and financial monitoring.
  • A strong commitment to safety and sustainable working methods.
  • Good proficiency in Swedish and English.
  • Valid driver's license (Category B).
