Boliden is a high-tech metals company with its own mines and smelters, working long-term to guarantee society's access to base and precious metals. For a century, our work has been part of the value chains that have shaped modern society. At Boliden, we know that the metals we mine and make available will play a crucial role in the future – what matters is how we produce them. Become part of us and drive change for future generations.
Your Role
As an Electrical Designer at Rönnskär, you work in a technically advanced and complex environment, contributing to the development and improvement of operations. Here, you work close to production and are involved in both maintenance tasks and investment projects, where you have the opportunity to follow your solutions all the way through and see their impact on the business. In this role, you combine your own design work with participating in projects and contributing to quality assurance and the development of working methods. You contribute to projects from early stages to finished solutions and are given the opportunity to gradually take on greater responsibility within your area of expertise. Here, you have the chance to work long-term with solutions and contribute to their further development over time.
Your Team
You belong to the Design section, which is part of Rönnskär's project department. The section consists of specialists in construction, mechanics, media, and electrical engineering. Together, we are responsible for meeting the business's need for design resources and for managing drawing documentation. We are a tightly knit team that values collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Your Responsibilities
- Perform electrical design work within maintenance and investments
- Participate in projects as a designer
- Prepare design documentation and participate in technical investigations
- Support work with technical requirements and standards
- Participate in quality assurance of design deliveries
- Contribute to the development of working methods, tools, and drawing management
Your Contribution
We are looking for you who are an engaged electrical designer wanting to develop in a role with varied and technically challenging tasks. You work in a structured and meticulous manner, have good analytical skills, and approach tasks in a solution-oriented way. You enjoy collaborating with others, communicate clearly, and have the ability to make technical reasoning understandable to different parts of the organization. With a collaborative and service-oriented approach, you contribute to good relationships with both internal customers and external suppliers.
We see that you, as an applicant, have:
- A university or college education in a relevant field, or equivalent competence
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Good system proficiency
- Category B driver's license
We would appreciate it if you had previous experience in electrical design. Experience in power systems, work in database environments (e.g., SiteBase), and from process or manufacturing industries is also meritorious.
Why work with us:
At Boliden, we believe in promoting a workplace where care, courage, and responsibility are central to everything we do. We offer a workplace where we believe in collaboration and where what you contribute will have a direct impact on future generations. We are a company consisting of responsible and creative people who all work towards the same vision; to become the most sustainable and respected metal supplier in the world.
