Operating Department in Ängelholm is looking for Sterile Processing Technicians – Make a difference every day

Located in beautiful nature with sea and forest, Ängelholm is close to the major cities in the Öresund Region. The Operating Department in Ängelholm belongs to the Anesthesia/Operation/ICU Skånes sjukhus nordväst area.

Today, we primarily perform planned day surgery and short-term care. The Operating Department is a dynamic workplace consisting of operating, anesthesia, sterile processing, day surgery, and recovery activities. We provide specialized planned care within orthopedics, surgery, gynecology, urology, dentistry, and ENT. We treat both adults and children, Monday to Friday during daytime hours.

We are approximately 100 dedicated employees (operating room nurses, anesthesia nurses, nurses, nursing assistants, sterile processing technicians, and doctors). Job Responsibilities

Are you a person driven by structure, detail-oriented, and eager to help develop our sterile processing unit? Do you want to work in a team characterized by engagement, curiosity, warmth, and care? Then we are looking for you!

The sterile processing unit is the hub of our operating department and Ängelholm Hospital. We ensure that instruments for the operating department, clinics, and wards are clean, intact, and sterilized in quality-assured machines.

The role includes:

• Sterile processing work such as cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing surgical instruments.
• Independent work with significant personal responsibility, sometimes at a fast pace.
• Close collaboration and support among colleagues (the position involves no patient contact).

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained as a sterile processing technician (YH 300p) or alternatively as a nursing assistant who meets the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements for a protected professional title, regardless of whether you studied under the previous or current program structure.

In addition, you have:

• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
• Good computer skills, a technical interest, and a willingness to learn new things.
• Meritorious: previous experience handling sterile instruments.
