RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to make a difference with maps? As a Cartographer/GIS Engineer, you will have a varied daily routine where you work both independently and together with colleagues.

• You work with map production, such as base maps and construction maps, ensuring that our maps maintain the correct quality.
• You are responsible for updating and managing geodata, ensuring that the municipality's map data is current and accurate.
• You contribute data and expert knowledge to the planning and building permit process, ensuring that case handlers, project managers, and external actors receive the right information at the right time.
• You participate in various development projects related to GIS and digitalization, where you have the opportunity to contribute your ideas and experience.
• The role also involves contact with both colleagues within the municipality and external customers as well as collaboration partners, allowing you to build relationships and create an understanding of how geodata is used in practice.

You will become part of an engaged team passionate about societal development, technology, and service, where you are given both responsibility and freedom in your work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have a post-secondary education in geodata, GIS, cartography, or similar, along with experience that the employer deems relevant for the position. It is an advantage if you have experience from working with map production and GIS systems, preferably ArcGIS, QGIS, or AutoCAD.
