As a Development Engineer in Press Tool Manufacturing, you will contribute technical curiosity, problem-solving skills, and improvement initiatives in an advanced production environment.

About the Job

You are responsible for developing and implementing methods and processes within the manufacturing of press tools. The work aims to achieve set goals regarding quality, economy, and sustainability, carried out in close collaboration with production.

Your responsibilities include:

• Develop, implement, and document methods and processes for press tool manufacturing
• Support production with problem-solving, improvement work, and training
• Drive and participate in projects related to new products and technology platforms
• Identify and correct deviations and contribute to continuous improvements
• Work with programming, testing, and optimization in 4- and 5-axis milling machines, as well as production design and CAM preparation

The position is located in Gimo.

Your Profile

You have a technical background and thrive working close to manufacturing and production. The combination of analysis, structure, and practical execution motivates you.

We also look for:

• A university degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience
• Good experience with manufacturing processes, design, and programming
• Knowledge of NC and CAM programming as well as CAD design
• Experience with NX CAD/CAM focused on mold tools is an advantage
• Fluent communication skills in Swedish and English

As a person, you are structured, proactive, and self-driven. Curiosity and a desire to improve and develop characterize how you approach new challenges. You enjoy collaborating with others, are helpful and service-oriented, and have the ability to see both the details and the big picture in your work.
