We are now looking for a Service Engineer within Instrumentation for our mill in Gävle.

You will be part of the automation and maintenance organization and work closely with operations, maintenance, and projects. The role has a clear focus on process stability, quality, and long-term availability in production. Here you will have the opportunity to drive improvements to completion and contribute to a more structured and predictable daily life in production.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Work with troubleshooting, analysis, and actions regarding operational and process deviations, as well as optimizing process control
• Provide technical support to operations, maintenance, and automation technicians
• Initiate and participate in improvement and investment projects
• Prepare technical investigations, action proposals, and life-span assessments
• Ensure correct documentation and structure
• Participate in five-year plans and long-term development of automation solutions
• Coordinate and follow up on external suppliers and contractors

The position is a permanent day-shift employment. On-call duties may occur by agreement with the manager.

Qualifications

• University degree in technical physics, electrical engineering, automation, mechatronics, or similar
• Experience with troubleshooting, calibration, and analysis of measurement and control systems
• Understanding of automation systems in process-oriented environments
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English

We consider it meritorious if you have knowledge of ABB and Valmet systems, as well as previous experience from the process industry and project work.
