NITIU operates in the critical gap between advanced calculation and industrial realization. Together with partners such as Saab, Volvo, and Alleima, they develop technical solutions and advanced, ultra-light, and load-bearing structures that not only work in the model but can also be industrialized. The Role You will work at an early and crucial stage in the development chain, where fundamental principles are established and small decisions have a significant impact on the final product. You will work closely with experienced colleagues and, depending on your experience, take a more supportive or driving role in the development of calculation models and simulations for optimizing load-bearing structures. Your work will have direct consequences for how solutions can be industrialized. Your responsibilities will include:

• Contributing to and/or driving the development of FEM and CAD models.
• Exploring and evaluating various conceptual solutions using structural mechanics simulations.
• Ensuring that concepts not only meet theoretical requirements but are also suitable for selected manufacturing methods.
• Contributing to methods that make advanced technology scalable.
• Working closely with industrial partners where theory meets real-world requirements.

We are looking for you who have a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and a strong interest in calculation, design, and technical problem-solving. Good proficiency in Swedish and English is required, as is Swedish citizenship. You can be at the beginning of your career or have several years of experience – what is important is that you want to work on complex problems where your analysis has a real impact. For those at the beginning of their career, there are excellent opportunities to develop quickly in close collaboration with experienced colleagues. For those with more experience, there is an opportunity to take greater responsibility in more complex issues and contribute your expertise to the development of both solutions and working methods.
