About the role
As a Spare Parts Engineer, you will play a central role in developing how we work with spare parts and technical documentation. Today, much information is in PDF formats, making it difficult for both customers and employees to quickly find the right spare part. The purpose of the role is to create a more structured, searchable, and user-friendly way to handle spare parts information.
You need to understand how documentation, drawings, exploded views, and spare parts documentation are created today, but above all, you should help develop the way of working forward. It is about making it easier to find the right spare part, reducing the reliance on manual searching, and creating a better solution for both internal users and customers.
An important part of the role will be to contribute to the introduction of system support for spare parts management. Therefore, it is an advantage if you have experience working in technical systems, introducing new ways of working in an organization, or understanding how digital solutions can simplify technical work.
You will collaborate closely with design, aftermarket, the spare parts department, and other parts of the organization. The role suits you if you are technically curious, independent, and want to drive improvements from idea to functioning workflow.
Your responsibilities
In the role, you will among other things:
- Create and update drawings, exploded views, spare parts documentation, and technical documentation.
- Ensure that spare parts documentation is clear, correct, and usable for both customers and internal functions.
- Develop and improve the workflow for how spare parts are structured, documented, and made searchable.
- Map how spare parts information is handled today and identify what needs to be simplified, clarified, or changed.
- Contribute to introducing system support for spare parts management and ensure the solution works in practice.
- Make it easier for customers, aftermarket, and the spare parts department to find the right spare part.
- Collaborate closely with design, aftermarket, the spare parts department, and other internal functions.
- Drive improvements from idea to functioning workflow.
We are looking for you who
We are looking for you who have a strong drive to improve, simplify, and create structure. You enjoy combining technical work with the development of workflows and are independent enough to take initiative even when the path forward is not fully mapped out.
You have technical understanding and experience with drawings, technical documentation, spare parts, design, or similar areas. We would like you to have a technical education, for example in machinery, design, product development, or technical documentation, but relevant work experience can also be valuable.
As a person, you are curious, detail-oriented, and practical. You dare to try, ask questions, and drive improvements forward in collaboration with design, aftermarket, and other parts of the organization.
Meritorious
It is meritorious if you have experience with:
- work with spare parts, aftermarket, or technical documentation
- design, product structure, or article data
- CAD systems, for example Inventor
- PDM/PLM systems, for example Vault
- business or production systems, for example Monitor
- system implementation, digital structure, or software-centric workflows
- developing new ways of working in an organization
- improvement work related to technical information, spare parts, or internal workflows
For the right person, a background in software, systems, product data, or technical information management can also be relevant, especially if you are systematic, technically curious, and have a strong drive to create functioning solutions in practice.
What we offer
With us, you get a role where you both get to work close to the technology and influence how we develop our spare parts management forward. You get the opportunity to take responsibility, build structure, and create solutions that make a real difference in the daily life of both customers and colleagues.
You become an important link between design, aftermarket, and the spare parts department, and get to work in an environment where your drive and willingness to improve workflows will be crucial.
This is a role for you who want to combine technical work with development and help create a workflow that works better over time.
We value your personality highly and are looking for you who want to contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment. Welcome to OilQuick – here we develop the technology of the future together!
