Our goal is to appoint a specialist nursing assistant to each ward at Strandängsgatan. We are now searching high and low for our fourth specialist nursing assistant to complete our fantastic strategic working group, which consists of a unit manager, a gerontological nurse educator, a coordinator, and three specialist nursing assistants.

Job Responsibilities

You will join a fantastic operational team consisting of a cheerful and driven group including the unit manager, a gerontological nurse educator, and specialist nursing assistants/Sylvia nurses from 4 wards.

You will have scheduled time for your assignment, meaning you will have one full day per week set aside to attend operational team meetings, work practically, or handle administrative preparatory work. Almost daily, you will also have scheduled time for your assignment integrated with nursing care work.

You will chair the ward's team meetings and be responsible for planning the agenda and activities for these meetings together with your specialist nursing assistant colleagues and our gerontological nurse educator.

You will collaborate with other specialist nursing assistants at our other residences to ensure a shared vision and teamwork.

Your most important task will be to develop and contribute to quality assurance for our users in our residences.

You will be responsible for ensuring all our users are updated in the quality register BPSD and will mentor your colleagues in a quality-enhancing approach.

We work according to the L.E.I.F method using the digital planning tool Lifecare for activity planning for all tasks, interventions, and activities throughout the day.

You will also be responsible for planning and carrying out care and nursing around users together with your colleagues. You will identify obstacles in nursing care with the aim of developing and implementing changes that improve the daily life of the user.

You will also transfer your theoretical knowledge into practical action for the benefit of everyone around the user.

You will work closely with the Municipal Health and Social Care Services (HSL), where a nurse, physiotherapist, and occupational therapist are part of a multiprofessional team.

You will have a mentoring role with the mandate and opportunity to influence operations.

We offer stimulating and educational work with opportunities for further training.

The work is performed according to a schedule with day/evening shifts and every other weekend.

Qualifications

• 2-year higher education as a specialist nursing assistant or Sylvia nurse.

Personal suitability for the job is applied in the recruitment process:

• Very good ability to speak in front of a larger group, to be a good listener, and to have a reflective personality.
• Ability to actively lead, coach/mentor, and further train your colleagues in daily nursing care.
• Quality- and service-oriented with experience handling medical-technical equipment.
• Very good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as well as good computer skills.

Knowledge of activity planning, the LEIF method, Lifecare, and our national quality registers is considered an advantage.
