The Business Area of Imaging and Function at Skåne University Hospital has all modalities represented, such as CT, MRI, PET, intervention, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, conventional equipment, and isotope operations. High-quality and multifaceted research and development are conducted here in collaboration with various partners. We base our work on professionalism, commitment, and teamwork. We have 750 employees, and the business area spans Malmö, Lund, and Trelleborg. Imaging and Function performs approximately 400,000 patient examinations annually, which means a strong focus on patient safety and quality issues.
The Radiology Department for Gastro, Urology, and Thorax in Lund is an elective radiology department that also contributes competence and staffing during evenings and weekends at the emergency radiology unit. We are approximately 35 employees, consisting of radiographers, assistant nurses, and administrators. Together, we work for an attractive workplace that is welcoming, driving, and patient-focused.

Job Responsibilities
We are currently looking primarily for you who have an interest in working with angiography/intervention. Our unit has several different modalities such as angiography/intervention, fluoroscopy, computed tomography, conventional X-ray, and ultrasound. As a radiographer with us, you work with several modalities, and we often work in teams with other professional categories such as assistant nurses and doctors/interventionists.
As a radiographer in intervention, you are responsible for receiving patients and preparing them for treatment. During the treatment, you work in the team and monitor the patient, administer medication, manage image handling, and document in the IDS7 journal, or assist our doctors/interventionists. After the examination, we help the anesthesia team with the patient so that the patient can be transported back to the ward. Thereafter, the team ensures that the examination room is cleaned and prepared for the next treatment. In angiography/intervention, one works in a sterile environment, which means you will dress sterilely and help the team set up sterile tables for various treatments.
At the university hospital, there is an opportunity to deepen involvement in research studies, and we have the task of supervising and educating students as well as developing the operations.
Emergency Radiology has 24/7 operations, to which all radiology units also staff our evening, weekend, and night shifts. Once you have received your basic introduction and rotation, you will be part of one of our on-call teams consisting of radiographers and assistant nurses with mixed competencies to be able to perform all modalities/techniques.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a licensed radiographer with permission to work within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale are a requirement. Previous experience working as a radiographer is meritorious.
You are driven and interested in acquiring new knowledge and sharing your knowledge. We believe that you thrive with varied work and can handle both lower and higher tempos in a structured manner. You plan and organize the work yourself and together with others. Furthermore, you like to work in teams and have good communication and collaboration skills, where you are receptive and humble. Finally, you value respectful treatment of patients, their relatives, and your colleagues. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
