Economist at Vingåker Municipality

In the Vingåker region, we are close to each other, nature, and a wide range of cultural and leisure activities year-round. Here you will find rich cultural environments, good communications from nearby cities, and the country's largest outlet for branded clothing. Vingåker Municipality is developing the region and public services for the future.

The municipality's financial resources are centralized under the Finance Unit, which is organizationally part of the Municipal Executive Office. The Finance Unit primarily works with accounting, budgeting, financial monitoring, invoice processing, finance issues, financial guidelines, and procedures.

Our operations are constantly evolving, and as an employee, you have the opportunity to influence and shape our work. We offer the closeness and dialogue of a small operation where everyone, regardless of their primary role, takes responsibility for the whole and the common goal.

The Finance Unit is a cheerful team consisting of six employees: economists and financial clerks, led by the Finance Manager. We are working on the project "PowerBI – a tool for easier financial monitoring" for the municipality's managers, as well as "The Analyzing Economist" for internal competence development and collegial support. A continuous task is to simplify financial processes both within the Finance Unit and throughout the organization.

Together with the HR Unit, the IT and Communications Unit, and the Secretariat, the Finance Unit forms the municipality's central leadership support and serves as a service and support function for the entire municipal organization.
