HR Partner at Nyköping Municipality

RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will hold a key position in the municipality's HR work, primarily supporting the operations' managers broadly with HR issues. The HR department has a broad, consolidated mandate regarding administrative, operational, and strategic HR matters. We consist of 45 employees distributed across three units: the payroll unit, the staff unit, and the business support unit with HR partners and HR administration. Your manager is the Head of Business Support.

The main task of the unit is to provide support primarily to the organization's approximately 200 managers in areas such as work environment and health, labor law and agreements, salary review and setting, and competence supply with issues such as recruitment, leadership, and employee engagement.

The unit works closely with the staff unit, where strategists in the areas of Work Environment and Health, Negotiations, Labor Law and Salary Review/Setting, Competence Supply, Leadership, HR Project Managers, and HR Controllers are located. System issues, benefits, pensions, and salary are topics the unit works on in close cooperation with the Payroll Unit.

As an HR Partner, you work close to the operations and in continuous dialogue with its management. You contribute HR expertise in both daily work and long-term development issues. Your duties include:

  • Initiating and supporting the work with annual HR processes
  • Driving both municipality-wide and operation-specific development assignments
  • Coordinating HR efforts together with colleagues within the HR department

You collaborate closely with the operations' management and are regularly involved in their leadership work through meetings and dialogue. The role also involves providing labor law support and handling LAS (Swedish Employment Protection Act) and MBL (Swedish Co-determination Act) processes.

As part of the HR family, you will have access to collegial support, experience sharing, and the opportunity to discuss the issues you encounter in everyday life.

You plan your days independently, drive your cases from start to finish, and have great opportunities to influence the development work taking place within the department.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have broad, extensive, and well-documented experience of at least 5 years of work as an HR Partner or similar within the last 10 years.

It is meritorious if you have your own managerial experience. It is also meritorious if you have worked within public sector operations.

You have good IT maturity and experience in using digital technology as part of solving assignments.

We are looking for you who have a relevant university or college education in HR, or alternatively education and experience that the employer assesses as equivalent.

Working hours: The position is located in the City Hall. There are possibilities for remote work up to 2 days/week.
