About the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now looking for more employees. Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society will become safer and more secure for everyone. We are the agency responsible for prisons, probation, remand prisons, and client transport.
Job Description
As an Administrator at the Swedish Prison and Probation Service, you serve in a support function within a team working with client cases by registering and processing client documents such as decisions, judgments, and more. The administration is responsible for archives, diaries, mail handling, orders, as well as managing incoming emails for the agency. The role also includes other common administrative tasks. As an Administrator, you will also have contact with external parties, representing the Swedish Prison and Probation Service to partners and the public. The duties require knowledge of the principle of public access to official records while ensuring that confidentiality is maintained. You are subject to the security measures applicable at the workplace.

We are looking for someone who has:
- Work experience, including seasonal employment, temporary positions, or self-employment (internships and volunteer work are not considered equivalent to employment).
- Experience working with administrative tasks or administration.
- Completed upper secondary education with final grades/diploma, preferably (but not necessarily) with a social science focus.
- Good knowledge of public administration, including the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act (Offentlighets- och sekretesslagen).
- Good knowledge of public access and secrecy, including relevant legislation in this area.
- Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
- Good computer skills, including proficiency in the Office package.
The following qualifications are also meritorious:
- Work experience in administrative work within public administration; experience from the justice system is particularly advantageous.
- Post-secondary education in public administration, public access and secrecy, law, or other post-secondary education deemed relevant by the Swedish Prison and Probation Service for the position.
- Work experience with cases related to the court process.
- Work experience with diary registration (diarieföring).
- Work experience with the systems Platina, KVR, and Proceedo.

The position may involve mobilization (krigsplacering) at the Swedish Prison and Probation Service.
